Encore Morning Dew [13:58]

I haven't listened to much from 76, so inspired by BryanE's boys got balls post of yesterday I randomly picked this one out. I would not describe this as a crispy board but the sound is good. What is really interesting is the playing. The long Crazy Fingers has some cool jamming that some of the reviewers described as trippy or having a Spanish Jam feel. I'm not sure I got either, but it is very cool nonetheless. What I did here was the very nice stand alone Scarlet. During the jam I kept getting the feeling like Phil and Bob were trying to steer this thing into Fire, but of course Fire did not appear for another 6 months and with Scarlet for 7. Maybe thats why this pair worked so well. Does anyone know if Fire emerged from the primordial soup of the Scarlet jam?

Oh well, other highlights for me are a Peggy-O that Jerry kind of rocks, a nice Lazy>Sup to open the second set and the big Stephen sandwich. No US Blues to finish this show, check out the 14 minute Dew encore!!

Well probably not the best show review to grace this forum but its my first effort. Probably time to check out some more 76 for me.

Twenty minutes into this blazing intro jam is the unmistakable birth of Fire on the Mountain.

10/10/68, well before Scarlet Begonias was a gleam in Jer's eye, sorry! Enjoy...

no need to apologize. I'll give it listen when I have the chance to play it at the appropriate volume.

thanks

I just listened to 6-29 and 7-18, both great shows. Also check out 6-9,11,14 (there are probably more, which I didn't listen to yet)
